despite the fact that i'm not taking orders, i actually still have been designing lately, and i finished six more orders this past week. i'm really happy with the outcome of each and every one of them.

unfortunately, i'm still not accepting so please, do not order unless i specifically announce that i'm taking orders again. six people have ordered the past week despite the fact that i'm not taking orders, and i'm a little irritated about that since the people who ordered didn't bother to see whether i was accepting or not.



well folks, it looks like it's time for icon story of the update. this icon is of the big ben in london, and i absolutely love everything about london and england, so this was the perfect icon for this update.

yes, yes, i know this usually goes at the end of the update, but i just can't help it.. isn't this icon of apolo ohno adorable? no? jr celski is pretty darn cute as well. so, did any of you guys watch the olympics?

i've finished three orders within the two weeks, and i'm quite proud to say that i love every single one & their turnouts. at the moment, i'm not accepting orders, and i probably won't be for a good two weeks, so just bear that in mind next time you want to order.


hopefully, i'll be able to get all of these recent orders up into the portfolio soon, but we'll see. how have you been spending the first week of march, and is it getting any warmer where you live? it's been ridiculously cold where i am, but let's hope spring is on it's way.

i've been slacking off a bit with orders lately, so the past two nights i've spent time finishing up my orders. i'm quite happy with the results of each layout, and i hope the people who ordered are happy with them as well.

also, i'll be taking orders again on tuesday, because i've finished all of my orders and i probably won't be doing much on tuesday. so, when tuesday comes around, feel free to order, but tonight through monday, i'm not taking orders.

the portfolio is finally up as well, so feel free to check out some of ella's and my work here. i'll be adding full previews of these orders within the next few days. and for that time you've all been just so impatiently wanting to read, it's icon of the update, folks! this icon doesn't really have a reason behind it, but i just fell in love with the picture and thought it would make an amazing looking icon.

as of now, i am not currently taking any orders until i've finished the current ones on the list. the people who have ordered both ordered coding, plus a layout, so it might take me some time to get through them along with everything else i'm currently doing. i'll let you guys know when i'm accepting orders again.

also, i want you guys to be as specific as possible on your orders, give me good pictures and working links, and follow the rules at all times! no exceptions! i'm serious, guys. if you don't follow the rules, i will not allow you to order from me ever again, and i really mean that, so please, please, for your own sake, follow the rules!

i've completed my second order for haily, who is in the process of opening her new site, selena gomez style. once again, i'll have a full view of the layout once the portfolio is up and running.



note: i just accidentally saved over the last update, so i'm unfortunately not able to get it back. and what you've all been waiting for, icon of the update! i chose this icon because emma watson is absolutely gorgeous, and i think she's an amazingly talented actress.

alright then, since orders have been particularly slow lately and i wanted to keep the offer going for a little longer, i'm going to run the special for a layout and coding until wednesday, which gives you guys plenty of time to think about ordering from the site. come on guys, this offer is hard to pass up and is a really, really good deal, so why not order?

icon story telling time of the update is about nantucket, which is a little island of the coast of massachusetts and is very near and dear to my heart. the scene shows a lighthouse and the ocean.

since i haven't received orders yet, i thought i'd have a special running until monday for "the starfish" option, which comes with one layout, one link button, and a matching background, usually. if you order sometime within tonight and monday, you'll receieve coding & a stylesheet as well for the same price as the normal starfish option. yup, that's right, you'll basically be getting the seagull option for the same price as the starfish. what are you waiting for? order now!

the story behind this icon is because the flowers are amazingly pretty and are quite perfect for spring. & also because i love tulips.

hello there, and welcome to the grand opening of the lovely on the shore studio! i'm claire, and i'll be your server for tonight. feel free to explore the site & see how you like it. this site is essentially the part two of my old design site, essence designs, which some of you might have heard of or been to while it was still open. that site was open for about two or three months, until i closed it. now i'm back, ready to provide high-quality services to you guys.

first of all, the difference between on the shore and essence designs is the fact that i am not doing free designs any longer. i'm taking image accounts, which is pretty reasonable, right? the good thing is that the prices for what you get are really inexpensive, so it's almost like it's free. i'm offering everything; basic layout options, layout options with coding, graphic options, and installation/customization options for cutenews and coppermine. the only thing i'm not offering right now is wordpress options, because i've never used or made themes for wordpress so i wouldn't be able to help in that area at all.

for the updates, i'm going to do an icon of the update feature, which is basically just going to be featuring an icon with every update and talking about the story behind why the icon is up there. for instance, this chris pine icon is on this particular update because he is more awesome than you. obviously. ahaha.
